Chapter 10 http://undertheblu.livejournal.com/7741.html

“So, how’s your other brother?” Junsu asked, smirking at Changmin in the backseat.
“He’s not my brother,” Yunho retorted, Junsu mimicking the words with a giggle, “And why do you care?”
“Oh I don’t, but Shiwon wasn’t asking,” He burst into a fit of laughter while Shiwon’s hands gripped the steering wheel tighter.
“He’s going to actually hit you one of these days,” Changmin warned, trying to hide his own giggles.
“That’s right, I am.” Shiwon growled, “If you don’t shut up about that, Kim, I’m going to break your neck.”
“Mhm, whatever. I’m not afraid of some lovesick puppy.”
The car stopped with a sudden jerk, Shiwon nimbly unbuckled and whirled around to start hitting Junsu. Yunho sighed, closing his eyes to escape.

“Ahh! What are you doing! Stop!”
“I’m sick of you making fun of me.” Shiwon hissed, Changmin laughing at Junsu’s expense.
“It’s not my fault your crush only wanted you for your dick!” Junsu jeered, trying to duck away from Shiwon’s fists.
 “Shut up!” Shiwon growled.
  “Stop hitting me!”
“Hey, speak of the devil, “Changmin chuckled, pointing towards the window. Shiwon paused Junsu’s beating to look, Yunho opening his eyes from their rest. Changmin was right, Jaejoong was running on the sidewalk a ways away from their car.
Junsu tucked his knees up on the seat protectively and yelled out the window, “Hey, Jaejoong! Shiwon’s still creaming over you, you should- OW!!!”

Yunho watched Jaejoong slow down to a jog when he heard his name, “He shouldn’t be running.” He mumbled, a scowl on his face.
Junsu screamed as Shiwon beat him, “I’m just trying to help you out, man! AH!”
“You’re such a dick.” Shiwon hissed, turning away to sit in his seat, “Whoa..is he alrig-“ His words were cut off as they all jumped. Jaejoong’s eyes had rolled back in his head and he fell to the ground. Both Yunho and Shiwon scrambled to get out of the car and run across the street. Yunho felt his heart pounding in his ears as he ran, feeling Shiwon dashing right along side him but not really caring.
“What’s wrong with him?” Shiwon demanded, face full of fear and confusion.
“He was sick last night, he’s probably dehydrated,” Yunho answered as he dropped to his knees beside Jaejoong on the ground, “Jae? Jae, can you hear me?”

“Should we call someone?” Changmin asked.
“Should we drive him to the hospital?” Junsu asked, eyes wide.
“I don’t think we should move him,” Shiwon answered, down on the cement examining Jaejoong’s head, “He’s not bleeding but still..”
 “Jae?”
“Mm,” Jaejoong moaned, slowly reaching up to his head, feeling where he’d fallen, “Fuck.” He mumbled.
Yunho let out a sigh of relief, “Don’t move. What were you doing?! You couldn’t just wait a day to run? You can’t do so much physical activity after-“
“Sorry, Mom.” Jaejoong grumbled, frowning as he realized he was having difficulty breathing. He let out an unintentional yelp as he tried to sit up, making both Yunho and Shiwon jump.
 “What?!”
 “Are you okay?!”
Jaejoong looked down at his torso and touched his side, wincing as his fingers graced his ribs. He looked up at Yunho, an element of fear on his face, “What? What’d you do?” Yunho asked, frowning at Jaejoong’s nervous expression.

“You need to make sure to take deep breaths,” The doctor repeated as Jaejoong gasped for air, “The fractured rib isn’t what I’m that worried about, it’s what it means for your body. It’s having a hard enough time trying to heal itself as it is,  that’s why it gave out. We want to keep you here for observation, I’ve been worried that you might have some internal bleeding. Between coughing up blood and getting sick so often, I’m worried about your esophagus. And if something is wrong, it would be best to have you here.”
Jaejoong hadn’t said anything since they had arrived at the hospital, partially because it had been so hard to breathe and partially because nothing he could say was going to change his situation. He lifted his head when a new figure entered the doorway.

Mya turned to Yoochun and Yunho, “Could you two go find out where the cafeteria is?” A strange question strange question since they all knew very well where it was. But they nodded and exited, stealing glances over their shoulders.
Jaejoong starred at his father as he asked what was going on, what had happened, what to do next. He addressed the doctor, addressed his mother, but barely made eye contact with Jaejoong.
Just look at me.

“He really should have been in a hospital a long time ago,” His father grumbled.
Say something to me. Not about me.
“I don’t want to force him-“ Mya began with a sigh.
“And you probably don’t want to force him to take his medications either, right?”
     Just a greeting Please
“Have you been taking your medications?” His father asked, finally turning to speak to Jaejoong.
That’ll do.
“When I feel like it,” He answered tartly.

“When you feel like it? Does this feel good?” He motioned around the hospital room, “You enjoy your body being so weak a fall to the ground can crack your ribs?”
Jaejoong scowled, crossing his arms, “It’s not usually like that.”
“Just because your health takes drastic lows and highs doesn’t mean you can be so careless.”
“What do you want? You want me to just lie in bed all day like an invalid?! I don’t want to be a shut in, no matter how sick I get.”
“Stop it,” Mya moved in between them as Jaejoong’s coughing started up. The harder he tried to keep quiet the worse the choking got.
“We did it your way, “ Tetsu said, turning to Mya, “now we’re doing it differently, I say he stays in the hospital. At least here they’d monitor his medications.”
“I don’t want to live in a hospital.” Jaejoong objected.
“And I think he needs to actually start therapy, it’s helped a lot of people and at the very least it could prolong his lif-“

“No!” Jaejoong exclaimed, furious he was being ignored, like a small child, “I don’t want that! Doesn’t my opinion count for anything?!”
“What about our opinions, Jaejoong? You don’t seem to care about our perspective whatsoever.” His father snapped at him.
“Jaejoong,” His mother sighed, eyes sympathetic, “the doctors have always said it really might help you.”
"I take the pills! Isn’t that good enough?!”
“Not when you lie about it.” Tetsu answered, arms crossed in the same defensive way Jaejoong did.

“I don’t want this!” He exclaimed, looking like a trapped animal, “I don’t want to die in a hospital!”
 “Jae-“
“No!” He shouted shaking his head, breathing becoming difficult again as angry tears filled his eyes, “I......d-don’t want that! I want t-t-to..”
“Shhh,” Mya shushed, wrapping her arms around him as he fought for air. She glance over her shoulder at her ex-husband, feeling awful about how terrified her child was but also knowing Tetsu was right.

A/N: Ahhh I’ve really got to start writing these chapters at a better hour, by the time I finish it’s morning! I hope everyone’s doing well! <3
