i am downloading this mix (i already have songs 3-5 but i want to listen to it altogether). i totally totally get you on the effy love. the last week i re-watched seasons 1-3 again on dvd and ahhhh. she is so good. i also noticed when watching it again that the girl tony sleeps with/meets on his uni open day in season two is practically effy in personality and actions. i thought it was interesting that she is the one to essentially "fix" him and act as a kind of catharsis/turning point, yet she basically was effy. not that i'm into the whole stonemcest thing, but that girl kind of did for him what effy could not (sex obviously).

i totally loved season 3 although it got a lot of hate. definitely didn't mind the love triangle but i did think that cook was more of a match for her than freddie. i worry about season 4, but even more about season 5 because you're right - she really is the glue holding the series together. without her as a connecting point i wonder what will happen... i'm sure my interest will die out too after she leaves. i just hope her ending in season 4 is magnificent.

possibly TOTALLY weird but i admire her so much and relate to her a lot, even though shes a character from a teen tv series. her detachment and the way she doesn't base her self worth on others or tries to pander to peoples wishes and comforts really gets to me - i wish i could be more like that.

dude THANK YOU i always try to bring up the point about tony's ~spirit animal~ or manifestation of his subconcious or whatever that girl was meant to be being EXACTLY like effy, especially the way effy acts in the third series. they look quite alike as well. i think it must've been done on purpose by the writers, considering the comment she makes at the beginning about "do you want to fuck your sister" or whatever it is. i haven't seen series two in a while, so forgive me.

i always say, the best solution to a love triangle is a threesome! but sadly, since that is never going to happen, you're totally right about cook being more of a match for her, which is precisely why i think if she does end up with either of them, it ought to be freddie. cook needs serious help and so does effy, together they're too reckless and unhealthy and they'd just make each other worse as opposed to the positive influence freddie could have on both of them. as you can probably tell, i've put wayyyy too much thought into this haha

no i absolutely admire/relate to her which seems obnoxious to say-- that someone you admire reminds you of yourself, but it's true! in both some good ways, like you mentioned, and also negative aspects. she's just such a well rounded character!

aghhh this has gotten me so excited for series 4! i need it to be january 28th alreadyyy
