Finished The Gnostic Bible. Finally. Wonderful set of texts, nicely done footnotes. The Epilogue is a great overview of the gnostic current through history. I've read that the Key of Solomon (particularly the Lesser Key) doesn't seem to trace back before 16th Century, although things like it certainly must have existed.

It's interesting that there's a passage in On the Origin of the World in the Nag Hammadi Library, dated possibly around 3rd or 4th century e.v., that certainly seems to be referencing ( Read more... )
