The irony reveals itself
The 2008 Zombie Pub Crawl is this coming Saturday. I know about it in advance, I don't have a show that night, no conflicting plans. For three years I've moaned (as it were) about missing this, and here it is, waiting for me. I should be thrilled.
Except, um... I don't drink. I don't enjoy hanging around bars, and drunk people tend to annoy me greatly. Why did I think this would be a good time? Yes, running around as a zombie with a bunch of my friends would undoubtedly be an entertaining night, but that's not quite what this is, is it?
On the other hand, getting some necromantic kit on and sending 1500+ zombies rampaging through the city streets does sound like fun. Maybe I can get involved on the organizational side.
(For clarity, when I say I don't drink, I mean that I don't tend to drink for the sake of drinking. I have maybe 4-5 glasses of wine a year and a sip of something stronger less frequently than that.)
