It's not a midlife crisis, it's a glorious revolution.
Once you start pronouncing RSS as "arses" it's hard to stop.
I wonder if people who discredit conspiracy theory realize the extent to which history has been shaped by conspiracy.
Over the past few days I figured out maybe 5% of Cubase. Thankfully, it's a pretty important 5%, and I got it to talk to my equipment, so I seem to be functional now. I also (finally) took
obempls23's advice and picked up a condenser mic, which gives me great joy. Recordings soon.
I should get tickets to the Aesma Daeva/Therion Oct 25 show at
Station 4.
I'm reminded that Rob Brezsny's
Pronoia Is the Antidote for Paranoia is a great introduction to some important Thelemic concepts in 21st century language (rather than the 19th century language we all know and love):
I'M A STAR, YOU'RE A STAR
You're a star--and so am I. I'm a genius--and so are you. Your brilliance
doesn't diminish my charisma, and vice versa.
Those are the new rules in the New World we're creating. That's different
from the Old World, where your greatness is supposed to make me feel
envious, and all of us are allegedly in competition for the rare privilege of
being a well-appreciated winner.
In the New World, you don't have to play down or apologize for your
prowess, because you love it when other people shine. You exult in your
own mastery without regarding it as a sign of inherent superiority. As you
ripen more of your latent aptitude, you inspire others to claim more of
their own idiosyncratic magnificence.

You scored as Idealist, Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.
