Okay, I'm still ridiculously excited from last night. Last night I went to see a concert I've been unbelievably pumped for ever since they announced the pre-sale of. The All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, and Blink-182, bitchesss.

AAR was amazing. They are one of my favourite bands of all time and the main reason I was so psyched. Tyson seemed half drunk and it was hilarious. But they were first, the stadium was half empty, the crowd was so bitchy to them. I mean, later when Blink asked if we had fun with AAR, the crowd actually BOOED. Which was ridiculous since no one booed FOB and AAR >>>> FOB. Tyson swears like a fuckin sailor too, which again amused me. They had a decent set, though I was really sad they didn't play Damn Girl and I would've liked to hear all of their When The World Comes Down album actually. They did go through When the Wind Blows, Dirty Little Secret, Move Along, Swing Swing, I Wanna, Real World, Gives You Hell, My Paper Heart, and Back To Me.

FOB wasn't as bad as I thought they'd be live (I like their music, but I've heard tales of their live fail), but I spent half of their set wandering around trying to get a better view than our nose bleed seats offered us and the second half standing in the merch line for an AAR shirt. The vocals were weak. I did however get to see Pete Wentz from a pretty respectable distance and he was lookin fine and I enjoyed his jumping around. They played Dance, Dance; Grand Theft Autumn, Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet, Thnks Fr The Mmrs, Sugar We're Going Down, and This Ain't A Scene (It's An Arms Race). Of the ones I can remember, at least. Like I said, I was pretty distracted.

Blink 182 blew me frickin away. I was there mainly for AAR like I said, even though I do rather like Blink. But their live show was fanfreakintastic. Tyson Ritter sounded CD quality and Tom Delonge sounded even freakin better. My God, I was giddy. At this point we had sidled over to seats pretty close to the stage and security didn't kick us out so we got premo seats for them for which I am plenty pleased. They were funny and epic and I love how the bands all go through the shtick of 'Calgary girls are hotter' (Tyson), 'Calgary's hockey team pwns' (Tom). They asked us why we haven't brought back Stanley in 20 years xD and broke out into the national anthem. For the encore, Travis did an epicccc drum solo in which wires actually lifed him and his kit up into the arm and spun him 360. It was so cool. Travis is an insanely talented drummer. His hands just flew! They played Adam's Song, All The Small Things (Travis's favourite apparently), First Date, I Miss You, What's My Age Again, Go, Feeling This, Dumpweed, The Rock Show, and Stay Together For The Kids- of the ones I recognized. It's funny, apparently a lot of hot guys like Blink xD.

I am determined to see both AAR and Blink again. And get a Blink shirt this time. Stupid broke ass ness. They had damn epic shirts.

We waited outside by the fence around the back where the stage exit and tour busses were after the show because we're special like that and were rewarded with seeing all of Blink walk out. We caught a glimpse of Tom Delonge, who waved with one hand and held his daughter with the other, and Travis Barker. And Mark Hoppus actually came over to us as we cheered wildly =D. He touched the wave of hands and man, the guy's got softttt hands. I was so happy.

We waited as long as we could without missing the last train and sadly did not see AAR or FOB, who likely left earlier, but it was epic nonetheless.

Also, while we were waiting to go in to the dome, guess who we see in line a few people ahead of us? SEVENTH RAIN! They are one of my favourite bands as well, even though they're still small time, and I flipped multiple shits. We stared at them giddily from afar. Man, how cool is it that we saw a concert that another awesome band also attended?

And these random guys in a tour bus not in the fenced area called us over and unfortunately they weren't with the bands. They were just drunk fans who apparently bought out a bus and go from town to town following the tour, which actually sounds pretty fun.

Nights like these remind me how much I love music, how much concerts sustain me. It's the purest joy. It's bliss, it's passion and truth and joy. A concert gives me the best kind of high and the great thing is that it's completely natural. My joy isn't dependent on any drug or liquor or guy; it's just me, the music, and a room full of people who love them as much as I do. It's perfection man. I think I need to do something that involves music, or at least make sure it's always prominent in my life. It actually feels like my soul is renewed.

Damn. Just googled stuff and found out their was an official after concert party hosted by Pete Wentz at a lounge downtown that was only $5 with ticket stubs... Seriously, Damn. Why do I never find out about these things ahead of time? GAH. Headdesk.
