[About a day after the Break the World Incident, a coded video message is sent to the Independence 1 from a military base in South America. The video shows Athrun.]
This is former ZAFT Special Forces Agent Athrun Zala. Upon completion of the mission, the ZGMF-X23S Savior, the ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse, and GN-008GNHW/B Seravee made landfall on the South American continent, approximately 200 miles west of Rio de Janeiro. We are currently in Rio de Janeiro, awaiting an airlift to take us to Panama, where we will use their mass driver to return to space.
All three machines have been retrieved by GDF ground forces. The Blast Impulse and the Seravee are still capable at functioning at full capacity. The Savior, however, received considerable damage to its thrusters, and is currently incapable of flight. Pilots Shinn Asuka and Tieria Erde are unharmed.
