[For the past day, Athrun has tried to keep his mind off the last mission by losing himself in his work except at lunchtime. And, having a brand new, state-of-the-art Gundam on his hands, there was work to be done. He had to calibrate it to his personal settings, load the combat data onto external storage for the simulator, run through the OS to see what all it was capable of, run diagnostics, and test out what he had in the simulator. And on break, Athrun can be found sitting on the walkway in front of his Gundam, looking at it.
