I went and saw The Kingdom last night and I wanted to try to verbalize my thoughts and get them out.
This movie made me sick...literally. I am overwhelmed with the amount of hatred that is in this world because of misunderstandings, because of "religion," because of traditions, rites and rituals. When will God stop allowing His people to suffer? Why do good people die in the multitudes, daily, while evil prevails? Ruthless killings, in the name of Allah? Really? I am sooo utterly distraught by this concept, this way of life. This extremist notion that anyone be exterminated. When you look at the bodies, do you see arab, american, whites, browns, or do you see a human life? Do you see an innocent human life attached to a family: a wife, parents, children, etc. Come on. HATRED MAKES ME SO SICK! ERGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm angry, mostly because there is absolutely nothing that I can do about it, realistically. I can be thankful for where I was born. I can live the calling wherever I'm located, "He hath shown me, O man, what is good and what the Lord requireth of thee, but to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with thy God." - Micah 6:8. Do this to further....the Kingdom.
