As I said before, I'm disappointed every episode doesn't start with Emily's bare back. It should be a law. I mean COME ON.
I think...I was hoping Effy would develop, that's for certain. I didn't think she would be the kind of person to enter this lovey-dovey relationship so easily, so eagerly, and have it all sunshine and rose petals. But I really didn't see a mental breakdown coming, I really didn't. Maybe something more along the lines of Naomi. But she deals with it with drugs or alcohol or sex. Or all the above. And she'd OD or something. But not this.
I don't understand why Katie was at the parade. I don't understand the parade. I know there's probably something symbolic about it that I'm missing. It irks me that I can't figure it out.
It's actually quite nice that they bring it back to the beginning actually. S3 Freddie's episode ended with him and Cook on bad terms, this one ends with them back together. So that's nice. Maybe the golden trio is preserved once more?
Freddie and Anthea scene was...it was nice. I liked it. Her speech was a bit predictable, but classic Effy so I liked that. It was just sad how...Freddie can't carry his own episode. He really, really can't. It's so sad. S3 had more Karen and Effy, and this one completely revolves around Effy.
I think alliterative names in couples are just...matches made in heaven. Probably because of the steady diet of comic books :P

HELLZ YIZZO.

Finished all my essays til April, got nowt on. I spent all of last night finally watching Misfits, and plan to do the same for BH tomorrow. Therefore I am ready when you are to get this mother sorted!

My initial feeling is that a S3 Skins/S1 BH x-over would be best, as the amount of angst that the two current seasons would put out if there were combined would destroy Wales.

Loveless and Prescott, then. Superdeal.
I think...Yes. Yes, that's true. Effy's curiouis, that's for sure, and she wanted to 'give it a go'. It's a shame it didn't work out.
I think.....le sigh. I think the shock might be wearing down for me. This doesn't upset me as much as Naomi cheating does, but it just saddens me, I think. I realize Effy wasn't as invincible as she appeared to be, or would have rathered people believe her to be, it's just sad to see her fall, I think. And...it is not a gracious fall, my friend. It is not a smooth one aat all.
The carnival works in that sense I can understand, as do the costumes, but I just don't understand why it...I don't know. It seems as though everything in the episode was fine, it was all just executed poorly. Does that make sense? Am I just hating on Freddie?

'That's why it was incredible sad - not 'Rip your heart out stomp on it sad'

LMAO. I don't know why but god that made me laugh for a really long time, ending with wiping of tears and sighing, "Yeah....yeah...." Oy, Emily Fitch. No more Emily crying, please, please, I can't take it.

I don't know if there's less and less logic when it comes to Effy. I think that's what...Effy wants people to think. I think Effy herself doesn't understand herself, that's for sure, she keeps repeating it. But there is something there, there's something behind her, something pure. I need to know what it is!! Perhaps I shall fanfic it.

Again, I'll have to agree with that. I don't think it's Luke, I think it's the way they wrote Freddie, he's just a weak male lead. Clearly Cook takes the spot in the case of a male lead in skins, which I suspect is why many ship Cook/Effy (though that's not why I do). It's just...such a shame that they wasted Freddie in this episode, it's all about Effy, now we've got two Effy-centric episodes in S4. Which, being an Effy fan, I'm not complaining about, but it just..sucks. It just sucks.

That is very true, it's difficult to differenciate between characters you're attached to and characters you just love. I'm attached to Naomi but I love Emily. Attached to Freddie (as it turns out) but love Effy. Two very different things.

EMILY FITCH NEEDS TO NEVER CRY AGAIN. EVER. AGAIN. I will...god, I'll punch something. No more. NO MORE. I said that in ep 9 when Naomi let her walk out of her room. NO. NO, you do NOT let her walk out crying.

I...I still think Freddie's missing a spark. Sid could be arguably the 'weak' male lead to Tony, but there was still something special about him. Freddie's missing that loveable-ness.

I'm quite happy about them drawing back on Mama mclair, that was nice, but...no need to drag Effy into that, do we? I don't see this angst episode, it's trying a bit too hard. But thinking in terms of skins universe, yes, I actually do see Cook dealing with this better than Freddie. I think Cook would realize he can't deal with it alone, maybe go to Naomi for help, and they'd all collectively help her. Freddie's too proud. He's got too much to prove from his personal past.
