What hits you
It's strange, after 5 years, what hurts my heart. I listening to a call in another jurisdiction, a mom and 2 small kids likely spent the night at a rec center. They were using the showers when the staff came in and busted them. I feel so bad for those kids. What a scary, unstable, and chaotic world they live in. As I type this, I remember my translator in Iraq, and his family, and of course what's going on in Afghanistan.
The world is not fair.
