Some of those same people who were flying Thin Blue Line flags beat Capitol Police Officer Sicknick to death.
Then didn't shoot him once, in a fit of rage, or out of fear. They each took turns hitting him, getting their licks in, while others cheered.
They never supported the police, they flew Thin Blue Line flags not to support anyone, but to make their opponents fear them.
A police officer on duty has no friends. People will hide behind anything to keep what they do, what they feel, and who they are, in the dark. People have hidden guns in cradles, used children as shields, and smuggled drugs in their church van.
