I tried posting this as a Myspace bulletin, but it didn't work for some reason, so here it is:
You guys won't believe this!
Today, Eagleaires (my high school jazz choir) came up for Greeley Jazz. I decided to "ditch" all my classes this morning to hang out with them. I watched part of thier performance (I got there late), and watched a few performances with them. Then we went to lunch at Armadillo. That was about 11:15. I had a class at 12:30, so I thought I could make it on time and it was okay if I stayed and ate with them. WRONG! It got to be 11:45 and we hadn't even ordered yet. I called my friend Ricky to ask if he could come pick me up and give me a ride to class when the time came. Needless to say, it took a while to get 25 people's food out. It was about 12:05 by the time we got our food, so I scarfed it down, burned my tongue, drank a whole glass of sprite, and left the resturaunt by 12:10. I called Ricky on my way out, and to my dismay, he said that he wasn't able to pick me up, and that he would have been late too. I told Ricky to inform Dr. Darrough that I would be late for class.
I WALKED ALL THE WAY FROM ARMADILLO TO FRAISER IN 15 MINUTES!!! It was CRAZY! I got there even before class started!
For those of you who are not Greeley-ains (Greelites?), to help you understand this amaing feat, Armadillo is roughly on 10th St., and Fraiser is on 18th. I walked a little over 8 blocks, about 2 miles by my estimate, in 15 minutes with a belly full of half-chewed enchiladas.
My friends were shocked and amazed.
