Him

You stare at the person in the doorway, bile rising in your throat. You force it down as you stand up, legs wobbling, and you try to will them to stop trembling. You hold his gaze, and you try to decipher the emotions in them. You used to be good at it, reading his emotions, years back when you trailed after him like a lovesick puppy and when the two of you were called a couple because of your mannerisms. But that was then, and a lot of things have changed since then.

You can't read his eyes now. You can see a million different emotions, but the only emotion you can identify is uncertainty. You heart slams against your chest, and you clench your fists in order not to cry. You can't expect yourself to read his eyes after so long, you try telling yourself. He takes a step forward, and you take an involuntary step back. Your sharp eyes don't miss the way his face winced for a nanosecond before smoothing it back into a calm facade.

"Kazuya," he whispers your name hoarsely. His voice. His voice wasn't like what it used to be, full of warmth and affection for you. Has something changed in your relationship? You think, Yes, something has. You get a grip on yourself, Don't you dare start crying, it's just Jin for God's sake. You give a curt nod in his direction, "Akanishi," you say and you see his eyebrows rising into his tangled and unkempt hair, from when he didn't cut it in the land which shall not be mentioned.

You feel at loss for words. Are we still together? you ask yourself and find no answer. You watch him as he glances surreptitiously around the apartment, and you know he is taking in the fact that almost all the furniture are gone, save for the couch and the bed in the bedroom where they have shared countless memories together. Don't think about it now, don't think about it now, you chant to yourself. "I heard you moved out," he says easily, hands in his pocket. Yes I did. And I took all the furniture with me but I still come back here every week, you find yourself thinking. "I did. I only came back to-to..."

"To?" he asks, taking several steps towards you. You fight back the urge to step back and you gulp instead, trying to scramble around for any reason that might stop him from coming closer. "Well, I-I someti-" That's where he cuts you off, his lips warm against yours. Your eyes widen in surprise, as your first instinct is to push him off, instinct that came from 6 months of being alone. His lips move along yours persuasively, trying to coax you into responding. You find yourself giving in, shutting your eyes and tightening your arms around him. You run your hands down his back, and notice that he has gained weight. Probably nights of drinking with blonde bimbos, you find yourself thinking sourly. He swipes a tongue against your bottom lip and your mind shuts down completely. You respond to the kisses feverishly instead, thinking that you would kill him for those blonde bimbos later.

A few hours later, both of you are lying down on the floor of the living room, as naked as the day you were born. He combs through strands of your hair and you snuggle into him, relishing the warmth of his body. He does have some use after all. You don't want to break the peaceful moment, but you can't resist saying, "I come here to remind myself of what we shared," "Of what we share," he corrects you quietly. You try to hide the quickly blossoming grin you have on your face. "I was always waiting for you to come back to me," you mumble into his chest, your face turning a light shade of pink. "Well, I promised you that I would, didn't I?" Jin kisses the top of your head and your face turns a brilliant shade of red now.

You manoeuvre your way on top of him, facing him below you directly. "Jin. Okaeri," you kiss him lightly on his lips. When you draw back, it seems that his eyes are sparkling with a million different emotions again. You can still see uncertainty in there, but most of all you see love shining through those dark brown eyes. "Tadaima," he whispers, brushing strands of your hair off his face and brings your face down for another kiss.

(You know that your lives will have a lot of obstacles in it, like him going to LA is just one of them. But you know that no matter what, he'll always come back to you, and no matter where the two of you are, both of you are soulmates and your hearts will always be connected to each other)

I think that royally sucked as well. I stink at writing fluff. Should I write an angsty version instead?

I also need fic inspiration. LA!Jin was something I always wanted to write about but now that I've actually done it, I have no more fic ideas. SO INSPIRE PEOPLE!
