The random illustrations of mammals here are actually far more quality than like 90% I've seen published in books. I feel ashamed that are are almost no quality non-technical books about prehistoric vertebrates other than dinosaurs. I feel deep shame. I've seen the HORRIBLE crap illustrations from the Cox encyclopedia recycled in so many other books (to be fair most of them are good but there are least TWO rather crap artists in there, one doing a bunch of dinos and one doing all the ungulates... didn't even give them any color patterns. fucking... I could have done better. I get mad every time I look at that book but it's like the only effing thing you can find with that many reconstructions and descriptions. (shut up, it's quite outdated but I collect this stuff)

Lj is fucked up now... I feel bad... I post links a lot and now when you mouse over a link it shows you the picture in the link in a popup thingy. if you post something ugly, how can you disable that? I think it's extremely stupid.
I kind of wonder if all those people deleted me for that reason. I didnt notice LJ was doing this shit until after it started and probably the damage was done somehow.
Actually... I'm now completely obsessed with that first site, it has really wonderful hypothetical creature-evolutions including beautiful quadruped birds. fanfuckintastic I don't get it though. I have Asian-language plugin/whatever on my computer, and this is a Japanese site but the text is all gibberish. ?? why? Filenames in Romanji though... GURIFIN, HUKUKEMONO. RANDOKUREIN!!!! (land-crane!!!!) I love this so much. God nerdgasm ohmygod I'm having a nerdgasm today
