Walking update....July 25-Aug. 1st
Well, my birthday's come and gone and Monday has come and gone and STILL don't have my new car. Yep...there is a glitch!! In their rush to get all the paperwork sent over on Monday, the dealer had me come in on Sat. to basically sign my old car away...the only problem is...no NEW car and they already have my title!!! I wasn't very comfortable with that to say the least. So today I had an appt. to come pick it up at 2pm after they had sent all my paperwork in to get my old car registered with them. So what happens? 15 min. before I'm getting ready to leave, they call that all of the stuff they had faxed that day had been "bounced back" because the GOVERNMENT wants everything sent in one..at..a..time. So....no car...probably not until Wed. if nothing else gets "bounced back". I even had to call the insurance company to tell them to put a hold on insuring my new car because I'm still driving the old one!!! So now I'll probably have to put more gas in the car because I had it figured out how much I'd need till today and I was really close. *sigh* I even had everything cleaned out so I had to put it back in, the stuff I needed anyway. So keeping fingers crossed for Wed.
I took my nephew to see Harry Potter last night. He really enjoyed it and thanked me several times for taking him. I thought he'd go with one of his friends or his Dad would take him but no...so we got to go and enjoy it together. ;) I told him if he wants to see Transformers, he'll have to find someone else to go with or get it when it comes out on video. I didn't like the first one except for the ending and from what I read...this new one is a real stinker.
I did manage to go walking before I went out to eat with my family for my birthday but boy I sure don't like walking in 83 degree weather. Heat bothers me and I'm not getting any younger, that's for sure. At least I wasn't shaking when I got home but I made sure I left myself time to sit in front of the fan to cool off. ;) So Sunday was a very fun and productive day. ;)
