I don't know HOW we got on the topic... but during the opening of housechurch tonight, Courtney told this story about an audience question from the Tonight Show, where Jay asked about the worst first-date stories. This girl stood up and told a story about being on the interstate with her date and having to pee really badly, it was the middle of winter, but she couldn't hold it until the next rest stop. So she asked him to pull over, got out of the car, rested against the bumper as she peed outside. The guy, being the gentleman that he was, kept his back turned and tried to hide her from oncoming traffic. Only, when she was done, she realized that her bare skin had stuck to the metal bumper (think tongue to a pole in A Christmas Story) and she couldn't get free. The date, after worrying about what to do, finally PEED on her so that the warmth of his urine would free her skin.
OMG.
The kicker? They're now married. I said, "At that point, you either marry them or never see them again... there's no just being friends". Of course, this lead to the only "first date" story I knew of that could possible beat that one.
"I had this friend who went to Safeway during her first date..."
