This is super-belated but I want to wax poetic about my
fandom_stocking . I received two sets of wonderful icons:
Conspiracy in the Court ones (it's a K-drama and one of the best television shows I've ever seen) and
Star Trek: TOS ones. I also received an
amusing Merlin/Arthur reincarnation drabble, a
lovely Kirk/Gaila ficlet, and an
amazingly in-character reboot! Kirk and Spock fic that was everything I wanted. Also received links to fantastic cooking blogs and wonderful greetings. Feeling super lucky and they've really made my new year :) Go read, comment and squee
here. Also if anyone's interested, Fandom Stocking's AO3 collection is
here--there's a lot of great fic and I'm still working my way through.
*I actually have three gift fics (2 reboot!ST and 1 Merlin) that I'm still working on and two of them are being planned to be posted within the week or two.
I also wanted to cross-post the
yuletide story I wrote here:
Title:
MomentsFandom: Chalion Saga (Lois McMasters Bujold)
Pairing/Charaters: Iselle & Betriz, gen, friendship
Words: 1953
Summary: "Three moments between Betriz and Iselle. Three moments before their lives would change."
ETA: I'll probably put this in a separate post too so I can tag this properly...
In other news...cross-posting from Tumblr since it's easier:
Finally getting around to watching The Animated Series...aaaa...all these feels! Is it strange that even the animated version of TOS!Spock is hot? Or maybe I just love listening to Nimoy's voice ;)
But...but...Yesteryear! It's so so good...and I love that it's pseudo-canon...there's got to be reboot! take on this somewhere right?
Also wanted to shout out to three things:
I am not participating since I would like to do
trekreversebang again (and possibly actually do
startrekbigbang this year) and then the whole waffling with whether I should do
paperlegends but if you are interested you should definitely check it out (the link takes you to the Dreamwidth, but there is a mirror at LJ:
comics_bb.
If you live in Great Britain and love astronomy, you might like BBC's
Stargazing Live. I'm about a week late on posting it, but the site is pretty interesting and even though I don't live there nor can I go outside and participate in the stargazing---I do enjoy watching the show and Brian Cox and Dara O'Brien are fun to watch. And yes public engaging in science FTW :)
And lastly,
LJ Is Alive!A Multifandom LiveJournal Friending Meme
Tumblr is great, but my fandom heart is in LJ.
