3rd storm [Voice/Written/Action]

[Aella wasn’t much for using the journals, but after hearing of where people were being sent, unprepared, to fight, she really couldn’t just keep quiet. Who knows how many people were aware of how sick they could get out there. She’d rather not have to hear of any deaths by illness if she could help it.

So, after a long, grueling night of compiling ( Read more... )

[When Aella gets to the battle dome, and if she decides to check on Ingrid, said girl is lounging lazily on her bed, staring up at the ceiling and pretending she's a princess locked in a tower, waiting for her knight to come rescue her.

She probably just looks half asleep, though.]

[Aella walks in and sets down her bag, now filled to the brim with books. Soon after, though, she'll head over to check on the longstanding patient.] Hello, Ingrid. Are you feeling well?

[Ingrid sits up, stretching.]

Much better, yes. Still tired, though.

[She has a new found sympathy for sick people that she never had before.]

It was only a fever, but you did nearly die. You should keep resting.

[Fevers, while simple, could kill just as easily as anything else if they got high enough. anything past 104 could, really.]

[Moodily:] I feel like I've been resting forever. [You've probably had better patients in your time, Aella. Ingrid is acting like a five year old with a cold.]

[That's ok, Aella's put up with plenty worse.] And you'll keep resting as long as it takes to get healthy again. If you protest I can always drug you.

[Not really, she won't unless Ingrid makes a fuss and refuses to rest. But stop whining already.]

Hm. [-she huffs.]

What've you been up to? [Entertain her with tales of the outside world, Aella. She's booooored.]

I've been preparing a list of medicinal plants for the people going off to war.

[Geez, needy thing aren't you.]

[She's regressing.]

That's useful. Do you need any help?

No, not now. As long as people get the message, I've done all I can do for now.

Why are they sending people to the jungle? That doesn't sound like a tactically important piece of ground.

Haven't a clue. I don't care to know or wish to be involved in war.

[She rolls over and flips through the pages of her journal without reading it, then shuts it again.] I bet it's part of an experiment.

An experiment? [With people's lives? The battleground wasn't a place for such a thing!

Something about that.... something about that made her feel so angry, so much more then she'd normally feel at such an idea. She clenches her fist at her side, unknowningly dragging small scraps in her hand with the force.] Bastards.....

[Ingrid lifts an eyebrow at the force of Aella's reaction.]

Well, I never said it made sense.

It doesn't. This whole things sounds like some sick joke. You're suppose to fight for your own reasons, not someone else's.
