My advice to a person struggling with Nano and wanting to give up already, jotted here for posterity and because I might want to come back and read it in a few days when I'm ready to pitch something through a window (either me or my computer or McLovin')
Don't do it!
Write something and if you really hate it that much, tell your friends that you came down with terminal leprosy and didn't write anything (even though you secretly did) for fear of arms-falling-off. That way you still wrote something. And maybe you'll find your groove and write something inspired by the heavens and choirs of angels or possibly just one angel but with a really bitchin' bass guitar solo! Never know until you try and all the trite stuff you read off a wall plaque which obviously has a little grain of truth in there or else how did it get on a wall plaque?
I'm tired, but what I'm trying to say is: 'you can do it!'
