This poem was in response to an English assessment task. It's one of three poems but this one was graded (A , woot). It refers to the Nazi Holocaust and the Jews. Maybe the best, but not my favourite. If you have any questions or don't quite understand, please give me a buzz.
And… (by max)
And so we stumble blindly
And we have no eyes to see
And we have no fists to fight with
And we have no voice to plea
And we struggle, so in vain
And our numbers dissipate
And bindings seem to tighten
And our lives are filled with hate
And we haven’t seen our loved ones
And we miss them everyday
And our bindings seem to tighten
And our bodies start to fray
And our minds unravel also
And we weep, but silently
And our bindings seem to tighten
And we know we’ll not be free
And we’re herded up like cattle
And we’re shuffled into rooms
And then our bindings loosen
And our souls are all consumed
