I've been in Brussels these past days. Everyone is fine. These are some pictures I took there.
I've also been thinking about why these things happen, and how we can react. Are we guilty because of capitalism, colonialism, bad buisness done with Saudio Arabia? Did the people in the metro and the airport today deserve to die because they live in the capital of the European Union, which has made some spectacularly bad decisions lately? What should we do? Should be turn toward God? Should we go barefoot? Should we cry all the time? Should we drink wine, dance, love, enjoy life?
I think it doesn't matter. The people who do this, they don't care. They have no reasons, no beliefs. That's what I think. It's easy to kill, they want to do it, and they do. All we can do is try to do well by ourselves and others. Not live in hate, even when things don't go the way we want, even when we're angry, even when injustice strikes. Be kind, help where you can. Live.
