Mental Malpractice

I had a Doctors appointment this morning, first one in over a year. I filled out the family history survey (they make you do this everytime..like it's possible to change history)and I sat down in the small crowded waiting room. I had just got halfway through reading some Esquire artical on Bill Murray, when one of the nurses came over to me and told me I had to leave. Not just me, apparently there was smoke in the building and someone called 911 so we all were evacuated. (The old ladies waiting for flu shots were especially pissed.) So Now I'm here an hour, I'm standing in the parking lot, freezing my ass off in a knee brace. The scene suddenly exploads with fire trucks! Big men with axes and yellow slickers ran past me into the building. The whole time I'm standing here thinking.. "Where's the fire?" I dont see fire...I dont smell smoke..what the ....! (..it's cold outside) 20 minutes later, the good men in the yellow suits let us in the building. In the waiting room, a firefighter stood guard - just waiting for one of his buddies to find the fire. (so he could rush us all back outside) Anyway... Long story short..There was no fire. That's right, either there was never a fire...or maybe someone lost it. Either way it was an intersting morning.
