"This one time, at band camp...I mean, this one time, at college, I realized that marching bands weren't all that lame. I know what you're thinking: marching bands? What's so guilty about that? Try watching a game with some of your friends and thinking, or even daring to say, 'That's pretty cool. They spelled out MIAMI,' or, 'That's funny. They played the Looney Tunes theme song when the refs came out.' But what's not to love? Fight songs are sweet for one reason: They are played by a band and not over a PA system. Plus, anyone ballsy enough to slip into a polyester jumpsuit and wear a hat topped with a feather just to represent his or her school is either the ultimate fan or knows what really went on at band camp. Regardless, Band Geek, you're all right by me. Keep on keepin' on."
