Because nobody's apping him

"...I doubt this is a suitable environment to raise him in." She forced a laugh. "Besides, he's going to go on his own Pokemon Journey soon, so..."

"Environments do not matter when there is love," she explained, pointing to her chest. "And you love him very much." Still, there was a smile. "He has found a trainer?"

I love him enough not to bring him anywhere near that scumbag.

"My old trainer's son will be battling with him." Presumably. "But I thought you would know that already?" What a cheeky grin she had. But it was shortlived. She was still tired and moody after everything she'd been through in the past few weeks.

"What's the real reason you came to see me, Bob?"

"What's the fun in knowing everything? The future isn't completely set in stone, my dear, as much as some wish it was. Every step you take can inevitable lead to a different outcome. When I see the future, I see a swirl of possibilities." There was a small grin, that, no doubt, Uxie had taken after. "If anything, your past as an Eevee, serves as good example. Imagine, a creature with the power to evolve in so many forms, the choice limited only by their resources and kindness shown to them. Yet, once that choice had been picked, there was no going back."

"As for my reasons to being here, it is simply to talk," she replied. "About the past, present and future."

"Yet you seemed to be right about Casca's evolution." Was her cryptic statement on Mother's Day really so long ago? The just flew by at the school, it seemed. Blacky sighed and sat next to Bob, gently kicking her shoes off.

"Anything in particular about past, present and future? About mine? About the world's?"

"And somewhere else I am completely wrong," she added simply and with that smile again.

"well," she said, letting herself falling on the bed, "it depends what you want to talk about the most."

How cryptic. Blacky couldn't shake the feeling Bob was just leading her on. Maybe I don't want to talk about anything.

"I'm a little tired from the trip, honestly." But that would only delay any talking instead of avoiding it entirely. She sighed yet again and also fell back onto the bed, gazing up at the ceiling. "...And I suppose, if the future is so uncertain, there's no point asking how it will go. The past is over and can't be changed. That leaves the present." Her brows creased in a frown.

"Presently, he hates me."

"Well spoken," she replied softly, closing her eyes. "I don't think he hates you. He needs time. The event was...extremely rough for him." She unconsciously closed her eyes a bit harder, flinching. "Hard...for a lot of us. But...with the future so uncertain, and the past set in stone, what can we do? Or...well I suppose the question is, what would you do, if you could?"

"If I could... I would go back. Back to when we were young, and I would stay with them. We'd all be a team. I'd be content never battling and so there'd be no reason for Master to teach me that terrible move. And maybe things would be alright."

"But the past cannot be changed," she reminded her, softly patting her elbow. "I should and I would have are noble intentions and hindsight is always seen after the fact but...there's still so much you can do."

"You asked what I would do if I could. I only gave an honest answer." She rolled over onto her stomach and buried her face in her pillow with a groan. Her voice was muffled: "Even if there's a lot I can do... I just don't know what to do anymore."

"Start with the beginning, then." Idly, she played with Blacky's hair. "I told you that killing Giovanni would bring you nothing, but pain. Your brother will come around, but he's lost some faith in you. We both know that. I suppose you could say you're at a crossroad in your life right now. Either you declare defeat and realize that the future is all written and there's nothing you can do to change it...or you can decide what could be done that would help you out in both those situations."

"The thing that would help most..." She turned her head on its side so she could breathe a little easier. "Would that be going back home and staying there?"

"But what about those that care for you here? I am pretty sure, deep in your heart, that you don't want to stay away from him for too long. Returning home would just be clinging to the past."

"No!" Yes it would be. "It would be... looking after the future. For Casca and Golduck both." She didn't even want to think about the inevitable part where Jack would leave her if she didn't do it first.
