New Dude

So, I've been messing around with writing recently. I am getting a short porn story published. Submitted another story and was rejected. Now I'm waiting on another story I submitted.

In the mean time, I've gotten this new guy in my head and just trying to get a handle of him. I don't even know his abilities that good, other than he can manipulate earthen things. Oh, and he can also find precious metals and jewels.

And I know what he looks like, but that's for later.

I was playing around with his background and . . . It's short and kinda different than my usual style.

He’d waited for years for this chance, century upon century with no relief laboring under his “masters’” whims. He had been forced into the darkest pits of the Earth to bring them Her riches in abundance. It could be argued that they treated him well; they only worked him for eight or so hours a day, made sure he took rests, fed him, bathed him, and even gave him women for his pleasure and to spread his seed. They even “blessed” him with eternal youth and immunity to illness. Given enough time his body could recover any wound no matter how grave.

They had taken his right to die from him.

No matter how benevolent his masters were, he was still theirs. He had no say in his coming or goings and existed for their pleasure and wealth. A lesser man would argue that he had it easy, but Saul did not see it that way. All he saw was the freedom he never had stretching further and further from him. Even the hope of the brother he barely knew coming to rescue him had been crushed long ago, leaving anger and bitterness in its wake.

It was a mere chance and Saul had taken it for himself. A slight manipulation in his environment, the force of his will, and he had fled. He had ran and ran, dirty and exhausted with no knowledge of the world around him with its strange metal demons that raced along roads of false stones. Still, he could go wherever he needed or wanted to go until hunger brought him to his knees.

Saul had not escaped empty handed though.

What he had taken from the Earth was apparently enough to feed, house and clothe him for lifetimes. While resting and regaining his health, he focused his energies into learning about the world around him. He had found out what his own personal gift could bring him was the very life blood of the world now. Wealth was power, and apparently he could keep pets as a master himself if he so wished and there were plenty who wanted to do so for him.

Saul had also found out that the brother that had not saved him was still very much alive. Or rather undead. It wasn’t hard to pin down his faithless brother’s patterns and his greatest weakness, other than the ones of his kind of course. And Saul had been amused to find out that weakness was a woman who did not want him.

Of course, I know exactly who that brother is.

writing! new character., holy shit
