bloody hell
Started trying to assemble the material to actually update my website today. Ok, I know it's been seven months and all, but somehow I don't understand how that turned into TWELVE rather short fanfics and a ten-chapter backlog of Furuba manga to go through so I could update the Haru and Rin pages. (Luckily the last update covered up to ch. 107, so I really only had to deal with 111 and 114. And 111 is a formality--the best Haru-related part is when he blithely observes that Shigure's table looks plenty flamable. *laughs* I adore this boy far too much.) Anyway, the apparent magnitude of it all was a bit overwhelming, so I finished converting all of the fics to .txt and did the write-ups, and I'll try to deal with the actual code over the weekend. >.<
Some of the stress undoubtedly came from suddenly trying to title all of the completed request fics at once. Snap's and Bonnie's may not get titles at all, but the others are covered, anyway.
I'm very erratic about what I read from the 30_updates feed. Tonight in a few moments of word-avoidance I read the new ones for Subaru/Yuuto (X) and Jayne/River (Firefly). Subaru-related fic very rarely does anything for me. I get too snarky about him. (My brain just chimed in with, it's a lovely eyeball, now go get over yourself, Subaru dear.) And the Jayne/River Kiss was believable, which is a little too bizarre in and of itself.
Somehow the hours between 2 and 4 AM just disappear into some weird vortex. Seriously, I don't get it. And this is why I found myself waking up at 12:45 this afternoon. *sighs*
