Well, here goes my sense of the weekdays (again), but hey, I have kitten pics!
--Since I want to get the biggest dents possible into my next two rewrites before we go to Ontario, I've opted to stay home from the office for the rest of the week and do freelance work. I'll see how things stand at the end of the weekend and then decide how many days to go in next week. The more days I work before we leave, the fewer I have to work next month, after all. (I have eight days of follow-up work left.)
--The five days in a row off also mean (hopefully) some actual sleep, plus going out to be social for a bit tomorrow afternoon and having Nico over for tea later in the week. ^_^
--I heard about the casting news for Elementary almost a week ago and have been meaning to bounce excitedly at everyone ever since. This could be SO GREAT. *^^*
--We've been sporadically taking Claudia and Jinksy out on walks in the common area behind our townhouse for over a month now! And I only just got around to posting pics of their first venture on their Tumblr. There are three new picture posts, actually (all photos are by Kas): a catch-up batch from the month or two before the venture, a batch from when we had the kittens inside with just the harnesses on so they could get used to them, and a batch of pictures of them actually outside on May 3. Kas has taken more photos on at least one subsequent outdoor adventure, and hopefully I'll be prompter about getting those posted once he sends them to me. ^_^
--Both cats seem to really enjoy being outside, although they still get spooked a bit sometimes. They basically wander wherever they want, and we go with them and keep them off driveways and such--and since we each wrangle one kitten, it's not really a family sort of endeavor. Poor Claudia, especially, is very excited about being outdoors (she runs hopefully to the doors quite often, and has learned that the sound of the harnesses being brought out means OUTSIDE) but is really, really not down with the actual harness. There's a bit of grumbling. (I keep saying that as of this weekend she clearly thinks that she's now TWO YEARS OLD and too grown up to need a harness!) Meanwhile Jinksy, being Jinksy, is quite chill about the whole thing. We've met a few neighbors by doing this (note that we've lived here for about six years >.>), which is nice, and the folks to one side of our townhouse are fine with the beasties hopping up on their patio furniture and exploring.
