Why, yes, I AM tracking our kittens' monthly "birthdays"! ^_^
In a better-organized world, there'd be new photos and maybe even current kitten weights to go with this, but since this is not that world, I'll make this a short post. ^^;
Claudia and Jinksy are seven months old today! And they're huge, which I guess isn't surprising. (
wildpear said the other night that when they're sitting still it'd be easy to assume they're full-grown cats.) We last weighed them on Christmas or Boxing Day, and at that point (IIRC) Claudia was 7.6 pounds and Jinksy was 8.2 pounds.
We have local friends who adopted a shelter cat for Christmas, and to be sure, she's on the small side for a grown cat, but she's at least two years old and has had a litter of kittens of her own. And she's smaller than Claudia, even taking all of Claud's fur into consideration.
I literally can't envision how big the kittens will be by the time they're a year old. *g*
