Back when I'd had my buzz cut for a couple of weeks and had basically gotten used to it, I had the delightful revelation that, since I liked the way it looked, I never had to worry about a bad haircut again because I could always buzz it off.
Oh, past self, you're hilarious.
Technically it's still true, because I really was fine with the look, but growing it out is turning out to be irritating enough that I don't think I'm likely to ever buzz it off again. >.> Now that it's been growing back for just over two months, it's long enough for bedhead but not long enough to comb into a semblance of order.
As an experiment, it's interesting to see how my hair actually grows. I've spent my whole life claiming my hair has no personality--it's very fine (although thick, which I didn't know until I was in my twenties, because it's SO fine) and very straight, and slippery enough that I never learned how to put it in a bun because it would always just slide out. (Good times when I was in ballet class and my teachers tried to insist. Then again, they also tried to insist on pink tights.) It turns out my hair has quite a bit of personality when it's just under an inch long. O_O
Well, I suppose at least it's good patience training or something.
