This really happened this morning
I forgot that I wanted to record this. *g* I'm putting it under a cut because it includes spoilers for the first half of X, but it's about something that happened when we had Pumpkin here on a playdate.
When Pumpkin [age 3] is here, she and
scruloose play with Lego a lot. As is the way of things, there're only a few Lego men in the largish box, and they're often in pieces. Today's play involved a lot of sticking Lego men to Lego cars and crashing them and then treating the poor wounded guys for their injuries. (This is a first, actually. I can't remember Lego men getting hurt before.)
Anyway, there was a spare head lying around, and I morbidly dubbed it "Kotori". Kotori is a main X character who gets decapitated, after which Kamui, the ostensible lead, basically shuts down because he can't deal with the world (and who can blame him?) and lies in a bed cradling her head.
Not long after I started naming the Lego men (another was Ensign Toast), Pumpkin carefully laid out the three "injured" guys so they could feel better...
...and then she picked up the spare "Kotori" head and gently tucked it in with them, "so they have something to cuddle and they'll feel better".
I think she was a little perplexed when we cracked up.
