Basketball... sigh...

I am already absolutely despondent about this year's basketball team. You might be able to fool yourself, based on the final score, into thinking that they played somewhat respectably against N.C. State earlier this week. They didn't. It's the same crap we've been watching for what seems like forever now: inconsistent play, questionable attitude, and an unimaginative offense that appears to be built entirely around three-point shots (which they haven't demonstrated any ability to hit). I don't know how much longer Amaker gets, but this team is not improving. Indeed, Lester Abrahm, Dion Harris, and Courtney Sims all seem like they're getting worse to me. I have been willing to give Amaker the benefit of the doubt, what with all the injuries that they've gone throught the last couple of years and the problems surrounding the program. But they really should have gone to the Tournament last year, and if they couldn't do it then, it's hard to imagine when it will finally happen.

Please, someone, tell me why I'm wrong.
