I love weightlifting, really really love it. I credit the program I'm on along with podle's support with being able to cold turkey my pack a day smoking habit a couple of years ago. I had a pointless goal when I started of wanting to bench press my weight. I figured I'd lose a little weight and gain some strength. 2 and a half years later and I haven't lost a single pound but I'm bench pressing 250 now and could probably do my weight for a single rep. I've even played with the idea of training up and competing in a "masters" (ie old folks) amateur competition. then I see things like this, and I'm perfectly happy lifting the little girly weights I'm currently using.
