Funny thing I learned today

Feb 14, 2006 10:13

I was chatting with this guy I met in a message board. He works for some firm that creates/designs/makes weekend ads for major retail stores (in other words, in graphic design biznass). After seeing my work, he told me that he was impressed and that I have potential for so much more. But here's the thing - he suggested to distance myself from future wrestling-related projects. With 15-years of experience, it's his educated opinion that all the work I've done for IWR, Marquee, and others will harm my portfolio. Funny how that happens. Wrestling being a negative stigma. Who would've seen that coming? So yeah kiddies. How long has it been? Ttwo years now? No, it's closer to 1.5 years. 1.5 years of work that won't help me one bit. Professionally anyway.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH MUTHAFUCKAAAAAAAAAA!

...

So anyway.

Moving on.

So today is Valentine's Day. The cynic of me will say that it's just another ploy of corporate America to brainwash couples to make them waste money on meaningless junk because it shows their love for each other. The realist of me tells me that I'm just bitter because I don't have a girlfriend. Regardless, best wishes to those lucky enough to have someone to spend this festive day and hopefully you'll get some. Unless you're my sister. Get your hands away from her, Matt! :-P Just joking. Kinda.
