How's life? I'm looking to make more money. Yeah. May/may not be quitting Michaels in favour of more reliable scheduling. Handed in a resume today to La Vie en Rose (Sasheen selling lingerie, oh, the irony!) and might actually have a bit of a chance there. The manager came off as a hardass, though. Watch me cower in the corner. Selling bras is srs bzns, apparently.
Love life? I'll just come out with it now and say that I haven't heard from Rob in ages. At first I thought, 'well, he did mention that he was taking a vacation to Spain this summer, so he could very well be away, hence the lack of communication', which slowly faded to, 'oh no, what if he's not feeling well and he's hospitalized again? *WORRY*' over time, then just a whole myriad of confused/concerned feelings. Now I find out that indeed, he has been in Nanaimo all summer, perfectly fine, and has just not responded to the two emails I've sent since summer began.
...Or rather, in essence, he has neglected to check his email despite the fact that we had previously established email communication, and it was he who expressed a desire to remain in contact and hang out again.
...Fuck you, Rob, even though you can't read this since you're not on my F-list. I care for you so much, and your casual negligence is hurtful and ire-inspiring.
In the meantime, apparently I'm going on an Epic Hike with Matt w/Hat this upcoming weekend. ...Sweet. It's really nice to find someone who actively likes that sort of thing. He's such a nice guy. Terribly interesting. Very strange. Never before have I met anybody with whom I've passionately been able to discuss a range of topics that includes both the uses of purple faux fur and the problems with our national judicial system. In the same conversation. You'll never read this, but Chupaflor, I enjoy our marathon conversations. <3
Also, this whole AE debaucle is making me laugh like crazy. My sympathies go to the AE staffers, who are currently hunkering down against the raging shitstorm of angry nerds. Way I see it, the staffers are doing the attendees a favour simply by creating and maintaining AE, so we've got no right to bitch when something goes wrong. They owe us nothing.
