When I took my long train trip up to Edinburgh back in March, the train stopped at a small town called Ely. On top of a hill far from the rail station there was a looming, gothic cathedral in the distance. Ever since, I've wanted to take the hour ride from Norwich to Ely just to explore the town. I was lucky enough to have my own English tour guide, Chris, along for the day as we looked at nothing in particular. There were a few notable scenes, but overall the town didn't wow us, but the good company was well worth the trip.
Seriously, the cathedral windows were too huge to comprehend. I mean, c'mon, who washes those?
My rather blurry, yet still lovely image of the inside of the Ely cathedral
The rather picturesque outside of the cathedral in a boy's school yard
Brimming with enthusiasm for his hometown, Chris points out the lovely tourist attractions in the always exciting world metropolis known as Norwich. Let's go!
