When did you start your maternity leave?
I'm due on the 13th November, and have planned to start my maternity leave on the 1st November. I do wish to hang on for as long as I can so I get more time with little one next year, but as time goes on I'm getting more and more tired and some days I feel I could start my maternity leave now! My work involves a fair amount of walking about, and I spend a lot of time on my feet though I'm trying to arrange to spend more time in the office sat down so that will help. Plus I'm petite (5'0") and my husband is tall (6'2") - my bump feels massive and is measuring slightly over average so is putting me under quite some strain!
I'm kind of curious as to when other people started their maternity leave, so:
a) When did you plan to start your leave?

c) What were the reasons for any discrepancies between these dates?
