A random photo-search churned up these terrifying monstrosities from
this article in the Daily Telegraph from 2008
It looks at trust-worthiness of faces, and the physical construction of DCam, Nick & GBro's faces and their "trustability". unsurprisingly this is the ToryGraph, DCam did best, Gordo Worst and Nick in the middle
"The researchers used their findings to assess images of the three main party leaders, and concluded that Gordon Brown had the least trustworthy appearance due to his "thick eyebrows, wide nose and the size of his mouth".
Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg fared slightly better, but Mr Cameron topped the list owing to his "fresh-faced smooth complexion, wider mouth and more rounded eye shape".
However, there was comfort for Mr Brown, as applying the research to US President-elect Barack Obama suggests that Britons will not think he is honest looking either.
Mr Obama does not fit the criteria because of his chiselled jaw line, refined face shape and thick eyebrows."
But the creepiest & funniest part are the hilariously biased photomanips:
DCam:
Original, Trustworty, Untrustworthy
I love how they've clearly not bothered to edit his face beyond lightening the skin to make him "Trustworthy"
Gordo
Original, Trustworty, Untrustwory
ToryGraph Bias prevails again, as both of the photo-shopped pictures of Gordo are terrifying
Nick
Original, Trustworthy, Untrustworthy
Poor Nick gets the worst photoshop treatment. The untrustworthy version is terrifyingly scary, whilst in the Trustworthy one, they've actually manipped him into a David Cameron lookalike!
I wonder what they'd make of PETER BONE. What would his "trustworthy" face look like?
