Bentenjima Station, near Hamamatsu

I rather enjoy Japan's bullet trains (shinkansen). This video shows what it looks when a 708 ton vehicle comes barreling by at 270km/h (about 169mph).

The train itself is almost an entire kilometer long and is composed of 16 separate cars. As you watch the video, try and count all 16 cars as they go by.

I'll be going to the Tōkyō yet again (third time within a month). This time though, I'm going on the schools money for the JET Program's country-wide conference for re-contracting JETs.
