Horror movie? No thanks. Horror movie starring Zhang Rui Jia? Yes please!

I've been behind on everything recently, even more than usual. So, I’m sorry if I haven't answered comments or commented much on entries. It’s been a tough week in that I've been pretty constantly exhausted caused by a change in diet. I fell asleep really early again last night…

Good things have been happening though. I'm making more finalized plans for my study term in Taiwan, which is super exciting. Right now it's down to trying to decide on which school to attend.

Yesterday I was reading some news on an english language Taiwanese newspaper site, and came across a review for a Taiwanese movie I didn't know.

The review was for a new horror movie called Invitation Only. Normally I'm not interested at all in horror movies, and would have skipped over it completely.

That is, I would have skipped it if I hadn't have seen this photo. I saw it briefly on the main page, and was like ".... Is that Rui Jia?!". And yup, it totally was. That is Zhang Rui Jia (Bryant Chang), one of my favorite Taiwanese actors, covered in blood. Naturally I was interested. It's a bit of a strange role for him, but I guess every actor need a horror movie under their belt. I was more surprised because I hadn't heard he was making another movie.

As much as I dislike horror movies (especially slasher films), I might watch this eventually. Mostly because of Rui Jia, but also because Ah Wei (Jerry Huang) is also in it! It also stars, weirdly, Ozawa Maria, a Japanese AV idol...

Still watching and loving Kimi wa Petto! Though I'm only on episode 3. I fell asleep in the middle of watching it yesterday...

twmovie, kimi wa pet, invitation only, zhang rui jia, taiwan is my soulmate, bryant chang, japan is my homeboy, jdrama, jerry huang
