Bug day?
Cooler weather in the forecast. I hope they´re right, want to go out and shoot bug-pics after work.
Molle, the sacred birma cat was in the best in show-finals yesterday.
Lets see how it goes today. I´m glad I can help my friend with the cat-grooming = I always have someone to take care of my cats when I´m away from home. For important James stuff and such. ;O)
Last morning-shift today. Thank heaven for that. I just hate these "up in the middle of the night" days. Aiming for a loong siesta this afternoon, before/after the photography, ´we´ll see...
My right wrist really hurts. I don´t think carrying around that heavy camera is the cure, but I don´t care. Should go to the doctor but they never do anything in the summer if you´re not dying... SO, I guess I´ll just suffer. As long as it doesn´t bother sleeping.
Í´m editing Borderline pics at the moment. Just working my way through. Don´t know if I should make 2 separate galleries, for the concert and the Q&A. I hate all those subgalleries and waiting for them to open, so probably not.
The colour-photos I shot with flash looks nice, really sharp and not many with red eyes. They´re infact too sharp, have to blur them a bit. Started with the b/w´s yesterday. Or should I say sepias, cause I make them a bit "warmer" than b/w.
Might go to another dogshow next Saturday, in Norrtälje. If the weather is right and Hele can take care of Bonnie I´ll go. 3 judges again, so I guess there´s the same number of dogs at this show, too. The agility-contest at the local dog club is on Tuesday evening. LOTS of dog-photography ahead.
But I always edit my James´s before the other stuff I shoot. 5-10 new pics/day. I don´t think I´ll upload all of them, lots of them are so similar, I just pick out the sharpest ones and the "specials" . Some of the pics just catch your eye.
And some of them just surprise you. Like this sepia one I have as profile-pic in the James-galleries.
It was really crappy but when I tweaked around with it a while it´s now one of my favourites... I guess I´ll print it up for next years James-tour and get it signed. I hope there will be a next tour...
Well, back to browsing for nice photos from Helsinki. I´ll have to make a plan so I get out most possible photography of my 4 days Bruce Springsteen- concert trip in July! The zoo and Suomenlinna is a must. Whole day at the zoo I guess.
I booked/paid my flight-ticket and 2 hotel nights. then I´m going to share room with Atta, my sister, for a night at the same hotel and go to Turku with her and my niece+family. Haven´t made any specific plans for the rest of the trip. Going to my other sisters summer-house in the Turku archipelago for a day or two? Probably going home via Åland and the ferry to Grisslehamn.
I´m going to visit my parents in August instead, with Bonnie. We´ll take the train up to Keskipohjanmaa I guess. Finnish trains are great for travelling with dogs, they have special seats for the dogs/owners. Lots of extra space on the floor for big dogs. And it´s cheap, €10 for a return-ticket for Bonnie.
