So, last Friday, I figured out my monthly budget. It is a sad story, so I have made 2 resolutions ...
1. No more purchasing soda at the store during the week. I figured out that I was spending approximately $32.00 per month on soda during the week. I will only have soda on the weekends.
2. No more purchasing books (except music books). The library is here for a reason - and that reason is so I can read the books from there ... not purchase them in a store (no matter how tempted I may be).I have 7 books in my queue right now.
This is day 1 of no soda for me - I guess it would be smart to just quit (again), but I like it a lot. I also don't buy soda to have the excuse of going to see Shamus at the store.
I'm going to have to be pretty rigid about stuff like this for about the next ten years. Blargh. This is unless I win the lottery, but (probably have stated this before) I won't win the lotto cause I don't play. And, actually, I got my sister and I each a scratch ticket, but she has them both. We were too wrapped up in taking care of the children that we forgot. At least we finally finished watching Bloodbath at the House of Death ... we started it 20 years ago and it was just as great as we remembered ... and the ending was as stupid as we could have imagined.
