The problem exists in that people have no idea what is best for them, therefore, how is it that ordinary, ignorant, irresponsible citizens should be entrusted with the responsibility of making responsible

It's really too bad that our government is a lying sack of shit. I really couldn't be more turned off by the half truths and veiled meanings. The cowardly, high browed leaders of this country are the scum of the earth. I don't care if the people don't know what is best for them, who are they (the government) to decide that they are more intelligent than us, feeding us lies and bullshit that we want to hear, that they may come to power and decide what is right for us, rather than representing themselves truly. I haven't even yet mentioned the fact that everything is a compromise in an elaborate dance of power. I remember a country in my lifetime where I could say "fuck this government" and have no fear of retribution, I no longer have that security. We are currently under dictatory rule, and should the opposing party come to power, we will become a communist regime. Well, that seems like a good slue of choices. Except for the good part.

disclaimer: I have ever in the past proclaimed "fuck this government." I still believe this country is the greatest in the world, even if she has been sold out and her principles raped by those in power.
