The Price of Freedom

Through my studies in Political Science, it had become abundantly clear to me that democracy simply is not the best form of government. The problem exists in that people have no idea what is best for them, therefore, how is it that ordinary, ignorant, irresponsible citizens should be entrusted with the responsibility of making responsible decisions? Simple answer: they shouldn't. While Representative Democracy in the true Millsian manner is a better solution in that a mild series of checks and balances on the legislative decisions exists in that the elected legislative officials have the opportunity to negate the popular decision of his represented area and make a wiser, more informed choice, if such an action may be deemed necessary, in most cases where such a representative government exists, the elected legislative officials are either stupid (in the case of most United States Senators and Representatives, at least the democrats) or they are bought off by their electors to the point where independent decision is no longer an option. Logistically, while a democracy is relatively easy to maintain, post-democratic revolution, it is functionally inconvenient.
Platonic republicanism, on the other hand, is a much more efficient, honest, mutually beneficial form of government, in which a lifelong series of educational tiers exposes the true "philosopher king" a monarch who is wiser than all others in his land, and who is worthy of holding such a position. He must desire truth over power and must be willing to sacrifice all for the exposure and cultivation of truth. All other vocational distinctions will be made through the same process of educational tiers, and dependent on which tier a member of society reaches in his educational quest, such will be his vocation. While institutionally impossible, this form of governement, if instituted, would be the most stable, beneficial society in the world.
However, since such a government is nearly impossible to establish, both because of logistics and human nature (who's desire is to bypass truth and go straight to power), the only logical choice is to make me supreme dictator of the world, giving all humankind the option of either succumbing to my authority and every so often reaping the benefits of my sparse benevolence, or perishing at the hand of my harsh, famine- and disease-causing tyranny, in brutal fashion, with a negative mindset. So in conclusion, don't vote in 2004, simply hail me as the new dictator of the world and together, we will conquer all weaker nations.* Thank you.

*NOTE: I don't really mean don't vote, in fact vote for George Bush so that we don't have another White House-defiling communist ruining our country.
