So this whole weak American dollar is really becoming quite a blow to my ego.
Did you know that the Canadian dollar is now worth more than the US Dollar?? It's by like, .005 of a cent, but that's not the point! We're supposed to go out to buy a book or something, and look at the price and sigh with relief when we realize the one that is more expensive is Canada's.
But not anymore!!! At this rate by next Christmas they'll be the ones sighing with relief!!!
I dunno... maybe this will be good for us... put us in our place you know. I mean, I can imagine the blow to their egos... for thousands of years [some part of Europe] ruled the world and then we pop up out of nowhere fight for and win our independence, then these 13 little colonies turn into a big monster of a country, much larger than any of those in Europe and we become the richest country and one of the most dangerous/powerful.
It's no secret that most of the world hates Americans.. I'm sure they're rejoicing at this blow...
I blame this on Bush. Sadly I probably won't be here next fall to cast my vote for his demise (i know it's his last year anyways...) as I'll hopefully be in London for the semester. (whose pound is roughly 2 USD) *smirk*
So all ya'll that are 18 and older, you'd best vote and you'd best not screw us over!!
