Happy Hour, A Russian, and Wii

This weekend has been fun. Friday we went to Tijuana Flats for lunch. It has to be my favorite restaurant ever. Amy, Erin and I went to Happy Hour at Whiskey Park North, which happens to be within walking distance of my house. It was $10 all you could drink from 5-8 pm. We made the decision to drink martinis because we figured as long as we got at least 2 martinis, that was worth the $10 we spent to get in. Well, 2 turned into 3 and then 5 and by 7:30 pm, it was definitely safe to say that we were drunk. It was cool and strange at the same time. While we were standing there, a guy that I had seen from across the bar came over and asked if we wanted to come hang out with him and his friends. It was cool to meet new people. There was also a super creepy old guy that kept following us around the bar. Eek. We headed out pretty soon after happy hour ended and went to the twin's place to watch Forensic Friday but passed out shortly after getting there.

I spent a lot of time out in the sun this weekend. I love Florida spring time. Seventy five degrees and sunny is something I'll never get sick of.

Last night I met Shannon up at Peabody's. A group of us played darts and had some drinks. As one of my new years resolutions, I decided that I needed to work on my flirting skills. I made a decision that if there was a guy I thought was cute, I would make at least a feeble attempt at flirting with him. So last night there was this guy that I kept catching his eye and I would smile and then look away. Finally I was like okay enough is enough. I asked him if he had a lighter to light one of my friend's cigarettes and then asked for his name. That's when I found out...

He was Russian and barely spoke english. Haha...doh! He still bought me a beer and then I was saved by daylight savings and the bar closing early.

After the bar, I went over to a friend of Shannon's place and we played bowling on their Wii. It was my last frame and I really wanted to get a strike. In my excitement I neglected to put the strap for the controller around my wrist. Rookie mistake. As I launched the ball down the virtual lane, I also launched the controller into the air. Luckily it sailed over the big screen TV and not into it. I felt bad but also relieved that I didn't have to buy them a new TV.
