The creeping crud and how it destoyed my weekend; in other words, don't ever quit smoking

Mar 01, 2009 22:39

I quit smoking in January of 2008. Let's see if I can regale for you all my sicknesses since then. Keep in mind that prior to Jan, '08 I hadn't been sick since I was nine years old, in about 1989 or 1990.

Jan '08: Quit smoking, got strep throat, missed two days of work, antibiotics and MD visit.
Feb '08: Began running, helped a friend move with too many stairs, got bursitis (unrelated to smoking), two MD visits
March '08: UTI, origins unknown, MD visit
April: Sinus infection, MD visit
May:: Allergy flares
June: Weird girly issue, MD visit, turned out to be nothing
July: Nothing
Aug: Also nothing
Sep: Allergy flares
Oct: Slight sinus infection, lost voice for 4 days, starting the day of T's homecoming at William and Mary
Nov: T's mom gave me a cold at Thanksgiving that I have not completely rid myself of yet
Dec: Vague cold persisted
Jan: I've been using my nasal spray every day since Thanksgiving, which is not normal for me
Feb: Sinus infection around Valentine's day, then this episode now

OK, so minus the summer, I've had some illness every month since I quit smoking. It's definitely related. Stupid illness.

In other crappy news, I dragged myself out of bed this morning to sell Cupcake to a friend and I put in the battery in front of him so he could test drive her and she refused to start. She's hopefully getting towed tomorrow to Honda House for repair then will hopefully be sold to said friend. He needs something ASAP so I really hope he can wait for her to get repaired. It looks like someone knocked her over (again) but I'm not sure why that would affect her electrics. The battery has been on a trickle charger almost ongoing since November and I rode her and filled the tank two weeks ago.

I'm over this weekend.

Oh, and I had to leave work early Saturday morning for the first time ever.

I would now like popcorn and soup. Maybe also cookies. I finally feel better. Mostly.

bitches and hos, cupcake, sickness, todd
