A Mouse?

Yeah.  A mouse.

In my room.

The little guy made his first appearance about two weeks ago, back when I was sleeping on my futon mattress on the floor because my air mattress had sprung several leaks and my new real bed hadn't been delivered yet.  I saw something skitter under my bookshelf then towards the radiator.  I grabbed an Offical Mouse Trapping Device (much like an Official Gecko Trapping Device... aka a shoebox) and tried to scare it into the open.  It didn't make another appearance.  I inspected the radiator.  We have those big metal covers over our radiators, so there's not just this bare hunk of hot metal sitting there.  There's a little door at the bottom of it that allows access to the dial, and I noticed when I looked in that little door (which is bent and therefore perpetually open) that the bare floor beneath the radiator had a hole in it... a perfect mouse hole.

Too flipped out or rational to cover the actual hole in the floor, I tied and taped the little door shut with the hopes that the little guy stays inside the cover and doesn't actually come out into my room again.  Because y'all?  I'm not into living breathing mammals skittering around my room while I'm sleeping.  I mean... ew.

Last night was the first time I've heard him again, skittering around inside the cover and certainly chewing at the twine I used to tie it shut.  And every time I would start to drift off to sleep, he'd skitter, and I'd flip out and wake up.

This caused me to get about 2 hours of sleep before working an 8-4:30 Sunday shift.

This mouse must die.

Thoughts?  I'm not into the glue trap or the snappy trap.  Cuz I'm afraid I wouldn't notice i got him until I noticed flies.  Has anyone dealt with this before?
