Hand me the eyeliner and call it a day

I'll admit it.  Its official.

I'm obsesed with Adam Lambert.

It was really only a matter of time, quite frankly.

Due to my unpleasant American Idol audition experience, I didn't watch any of this season, mainly out of spite.  But I kept reading about this guy on blogs I follow, about how he was the saving grace of a show thats losing viewers each year and how his voice was ridonkulous.  So I reluctantly tuned in to the season finale just in time to catch his performances with Kiss and Queen.

Y'all? I was hooked.  I YouTubed his older, cabaret club stuff and this guy in indeed unbelievably talented.  His voice is like the love child of Freddie Mercury and Axl Rose.  In interviews he's just as amazing.  Articulate, quick, bitingly funny, and humble.

Right?  Amazing.

So I'm officially a "Glambert".

On a slightly related note, I've been experimenting a lot with makeup lately.  And I dare say, I'm getting rather good at it.  With the help of Pursebuzz.com, Enkoremakeup.com and MakeupGeek.com, I've really been having fun and coming up with new looks based on some fun inspirations.  So without further ado, my first ever FOTD (Face of the Day) post, inspired by my previously mentioned obsession.

Adam Lambert in Rolling Stone:

My take:

My eyes are pretty small in relation to my wide face, so smokey eyes can sometimes be difficult.  I think this one turned out well.
used:

UD Primer Potion
MAC In Awe (black base al over lid) and Sweet thing (browbone highlight) both from the Classic Eyes Holiday Palette
UD Polyester Bride (white shimmer on inner corner) from the Ammo Palette
cheap black liner and mascara
cheap taupe Revlon eyeshadow to fill in brows.

I've neglected to take pictures of some of my other creations, I'll start posting them in case anyone is interested :-)
