[+] I have bronchitis. Well, I had the flu. I might still have the flu too, but the official prognosis from the ER doc is bronchitis. It sucks. I've been completely miserable and in so much pain. The coughing, until this afternoon, has been nonstop. It's the worrrrrrst. I'm still sort of shocked that this has all come about so shortly after the appendectomy. Needless to say, I've been a wreck, and have had to go to the ER twice. The first time around, they gave me antibiotics and Robitussin with codeine. The cough meds didn't help, and I had a lot of trouble breathing. I have asthma and an expired inhaler. I felt like there was a hand around my throat and I couldn't get in a full breath. After a little panic attack, I went back to the ER. They gave me a breathing treatment, steroids, and a new medicine that is part anthihistemine and narcotic (Tussionex). That stuff is gold. My insurance wouldn't pay for it, so I had to spend 40 (!!!!!!) on it...and seriously, I feel so much better. I want to marry it and get it pregnant. So...while I may have the bronchitis for up to three weeks (or longer), at least I have a little relief.
[+] Health insurance has been screwing me so bad lately. It changed yet again. I thought that meant that I'd get to see my doctor, and after a week of looking forward to an appointment, the idiot receptionist called to tell me that she didn't accept my insurance after all. So, now I'm back on the hunt for a new PCP. It's also been giving me a runaround with my prescriptions - yesterday I had to pay out of pocket for the antibiotics, and then when I got reimbursed, I had to spend that (and more) on the Tussionex. It's such a pain in the ass...I wish the system weren't so fucked up.
[+] I'm really sorry for being a flake, for missing out on fics, for not responding to people -- this sickness has been taking a hell of a lot out of me and I'm trying really hard to catch up and please everyone. Please bear with me!
[+] I got Chappelled again last night! I love that woman - the way she connects to her fans and spends time writing to us is seriously cool. She and the other big members of the Venice production team, Kimmy and Hope, are awesome. So anyway....it's fun because with Mel and Leif (Liv), we say random stuff to them in the hopes that we'll get responded to. I was writing really random stuff. To Kimmy (the out writer for the webseries), I asked if she liked Tina Fey (i was working on the graphic at the time!) and she replied and said yes, and then I said I'd go gay for Tina Fey if I weren't gay already, and she said I was funny! Two tweets! That was really cool. Right, so then I was posting random questions to Crystal Chappell, and she responded! to MY word! *squee*
[+] Angie is having a Halloween party this weekend, and I'm still not sure if I can go or not. It depends on how bad my cough is. I don't want Angie (who is pregnant) to get sick. So...I won't know until Friday or even Saturday morning. I won't have the time, money, or energy to do anything exravagant, so I may literally pull something together and improvise. Easiest costume idea: Liz Lemon. Dress up as myself. Ha! I'm kinda pulled towards wanting to be Wednesday Addams though. I don't want to look like I'm copying Crystal's idea though...but it's such a perfect idea for me! I have no idea what I'll wear or make myself up to look like, buuuut, at least I'll be costumized if I can go. What is everyone else being?
[+] I've got so many ideas for drabbles/fics. I'm doing my best to finish the challenge requests. I think I have 13 to go. I also have other random requests that I'm working on, and at least one full-length fic that I've started. Sooo...we'll see where this creativity takes me. I just need my body to get back into gear.
